Our environmental law group is a multi-disciplinary team made up of lawyers from across the commercial, litigation and property departments.
The Group has extensive experience in advising on the problems caused by contaminated land and potential liability for remediation, the appointment of environmental consultants and contractors and documenting the provisions for clean up.
Some examples of recent work are:
- Advising a large investor client on the likely costs of remediation of a partially contaminated industrial site and the allocation of responsibility for such contamination between the vendor and purchaser of the site.
- Advising a landowner on the issues relating to the remediation of a large development site and instructing and liaising with environmental consultants on behalf of the client.
